Function Description：
Modbus Gateway, MOD2004-ARM (featuring 2 Ethernet port and 4 RS485 serial port, dynamically supporting 1024 points), is capable of collecting Modbus RTU and more than 500 protocols, and forwarding it as a Modbus RTU/TCP server.
The gateway utilizes X2Modbus software for configuration, where "X" in X2Modbus represents various acquisition-end protocols, "2" is a homophone for "To" indicating conversion, and "Modbus" signifies the ultimate support for standard Modbus RTU/TCP.
Users can configure projects based on the on-site device point list, forwarding the data as a standard Modbus RTU slave station or Modbus TCP server, and uploading it to the hardware gateway. This allows Modbus clients to access data from on-site devices through the gateway.
Note: For the gateway's acquisition end, Modbus register addresses start from 1 in decimal (Base1) and from 0 in hexadecimal (Base0); for the forwarding end, Modbus register base addresses all start from 1 (Base1).
Application Field：
It is used to integrate Modbus RTU device, such as PLC, DDC, temperature controller, elevator, air conditioner, UPS, fire alarm system, smart lighting, electricity meter, water meter, etc., via the Modbus TCP protocol over an Ethernet port into configuration software like Citect, IFIX, RSVIEW, WinCC, Kingview, ForceControl, and others.

Register Type:
The Modbus gateway supports Modbus RTU/TCP servers. The supported register types and maximum number of points for the server are listed in the table below. Note: The number of gateway registers is dynamically supported, with each type of register capable of supporting up to the total number of points supported by the gateway.
